We are excited to announce the launch of a new program here at Badgerdog. A Glimmer of Hope Foundation, which gave Badgerdog our very first grant in 2004, has once again extended its generosity toward our Education Programs. Thanks to A Glimmer of Hope's most recent grant award, Badgerdog is proud to introduce Silver Voices in Ink—creative writing workshops for senior citizens.

By following the activities of a practicing professional writer—analytical reading, writing, editing, revising, publishing, and public performance—participants in our Silver Voices in Ink program will learn to make their experiences intelligible to wide audiences while reaping significant gains in self-esteem, emotional and mental health, independence, and self-worth. We know that this union of language skills and lived experience is the key to helping older adults maintain fulfilling lifestyles that validate their worth as individuals and productive citizens.

Badgerdog will publish all participants' work in a library-quality chapbook.
